CCDI Grant Opportunity for Higher Ed Webinar (July 19)

A part of the Mellon grant-funded, Library of Congress-wide "Of the People: Widening the Path" program, the Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI) is offering two different opportunities for grants.

Join this webinar to learn about the CCDI Grant Opportunity for Higher Education. This program is designed to support 2-year and 4-year minority serving institutions (Institutions) by awarding three grants for up to $50,000 each for projects that center the lives, experiences and perspectives of Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color.

The Library of Congress invites Institutions to think creatively and broadly about how they can reimagine and remix the Library’s digital materials.

The purpose of this Connecting Communities Digital Initiative program is to expand the connections between the Library of Congress and minority serving higher education institutions. Successful applicants will 1) center the lives, experiences and perspectives of one or more of the following groups: Black, Indigenous, Hispanic or Latino, Asian American or Pacific Islander, and other communities of color; make significant and meaningful use of digital materials from the Library; and facilitate teaching and learning with digital library collections for students, staff, and/or community members.

In this webinar, Library staff will discuss the program, describe the application process, and address questions about the opportunity.
