A part of the Mellon grant-funded, Library of Congress-wide "Of the People: Widening the Path" program, the Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI) is offering two different opportunities for grants.
Join this webinar to learn about the Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI) Grant Opportunity for Libraries, Archives, Museums. This program will support Library, Archives, and Museums (Organizations) by awarding three grants for up to $50,000 each for projects that center the lives, experiences and perspectives of Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color.
The Library of Congress invites Organizations to think creatively and broadly about how they can reimagine and remix the Library’s digital materials.
The purpose of this Connecting Communities Digital Initiative Grant Opportunity is to expand the connections between the Library of Congress and Libraries, Archives and Museums. Successful applicants will 1) demonstrate experience working with the community or groups on which the project is centered; 2) center the lives, experiences and perspectives of one or more of the following groups: Black, Indigenous, Hispanic or Latino, Asian American or Pacific Islander and other communities of color; and 3) make significant and meaningful use of digital materials.
In this webinar, staff will discuss the program, describe the application process, and address questions about the opportunity.
