STB Webinar: Initiative to Support Advanced Coursework at the High School Level
This event is being organized in conjunction with LC’s outreach to ALA during its Annual conference.

When the Library lowered the age requirement to use most reading rooms from 18 to 16, the Science & Technology Division began an outreach initiative to these young scholars targeting students in the MidAtlantic region enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, (IB DP) which includes completing a 4000 word extended research essay as a component of its curriculum. This webinar is the start of a pilot initiative to expand it from an in-person orientation to LC to a virtual one, available not only to teachers, librarians and students in the IB program but also to those associated with any upper-level secondary school program requiring substantive research.

Individuals requiring accommodations for events are requested to submit a request at least five business days in advance by contacting (202) 707-6362 or ADA@loc.gov.
